During the ceremony we will be putting items in a time capsule that represent memories of our relationship. We will be opening it in 10 years. We would love for guests to contribute by either writing a message to us during the reception or by bringing something to the wedding that you’d like to put in the time capsule.

Nearly about to give up on dating apps, we were both recommended to try Facebook Dating coincidentally around the same time in July of 2020. We matched quickly (Joleen was attracted to Jen’s killer smile and dog Piper in her profile pics and Jen thought Joleen looked fun based on a silly photo of her in a giant bubble at a science museum)! We chatted online long enough to know we weren’t being catfished, then had our first date on zoom! The date was more like an interview because we didn’t want to waste time at this point in our lives, plus who wanted to risk dying from Covid in 2020 just to go on a date unless that person was worth dying for! Well… by the end of the four hour zoom date, we were confident it was worth the risk, and decided to meet in person!

We hope that moving up our date didn’t drive anyone up the wall! We really appreciate those who had to rearrange plans to prioritize celebrating our marriage!
