Lucerne Lake has stunning mountain views. We recommend a boat trip across the lake. If you'll be taking our recommended way of reaching our wedding venue (via the Burgenstock's boat and funicular), you'll experience this gorgeous lake crossing to get from Lucerne town directly to the venue via the venue's transportation.
Chapel Bridge is the center of the Lucerne town. It is the oldest surviving truss bridge. We recommend you explore the Lucerne city and stop by the bridge. There's a lot going on in Lucerne as well as good chocolate shops, cheese, fondue, etc.
Take a gondola to the top of Mt Titlis for pretty views. Rebecca really enjoyed this when traveling here. It's a short/pretty train ride from Lucerne to the scenic town called Engelberg (which is also where Rebecca took her cheese-making class recommended below prior to going on the gondola). The train station is an easy short walk to the gondola.
We recommend doing a cheese-making class while in Switzerland. Rebecca made Brie at her cheese-making class when staying in Lucerne in 2018 and had a great time
Another gorgeous gondola ride up to a view. The top has an indoor lounge area and an outdoor view point.
There are many gorgeous hikes in the area with views of the mountains and lake. One Rebecca & John are hoping to do is the Stoos Ridge Trail. There are also walking tours.
