Honorary Wedding Party

Since we are already married, we wanted to include family and friends in a special way. The wedding party will not be standing up with us as we renew our vows, but they will be recognized and included in our own unique way.

Jennifer Udema

Maid of Honor

Jenn and I met our freshman year of high school in 2009. She has been my longest friend and has been there for me through the good, bad, and the ugly. She is a quirky individual who keeps me on my toes and has inspired me to pursue more of my artist capabilities. She also elicited my love for hiking as we climbed Mt. Quandary together as our first 14er (mountains that are above 14,000 feet in elevation). I am so thankful for our friendship Jenn and look forward to celebrating with you in July!

Elizabeth Lo

Bridesmaid

Liz and I met our freshman year of high school, but became close our senior year of high school when we started attending Bible studies together. Liz also attended CU Denver and we would see each other on campus here and there. We have enjoyed many Colorado hikes together and trying different foods. She and I also bonded over artistic abilities. She has also stuck by my side during rough times in my life and I am thankful she is still in my life. We are looking forward to many hiking, camping, and snowboarding trips, if we return to Colorado with her and her husband.

Kirsten DeKoster

Bridesmaid

Kirsten and I met the summer of our senior year in high school while attending a pre-medical summer program. We were both interested in pursing a career in medicine, and ended up attending CU Denver as well. We lived in the dorms our first year but we did not see each other. We reconnected our final semester of our five year degree in Human Anatomy. Long hours at the library knitted us together. When we weren't studying, we were snowboarding. Kirsten has been there for me through many trials in my life as I grew in my walk with God. She saw the good, bad, and ugly and did not walk away. I am so thankful for her continued friendship!

Emily Lewis

Bridesmaid

Emily and I were the next generation of cousins in our family. We are 9 months apart. We have four older cousins who were in their early teens when we were born. We have spent almost every Christmas over the last 27 years in a house with 20 plus people for a week. Grandpa and Grandma Woodward created a strong tradition in our family. Spending every Christmas together, as well as some summers in Florida, summer camp in North Carolina, cruise to Cozamel for high school graduation, summer in Croatia, etc. We have shared many memories together. It has been fun to grow up with each other and see where God is taking us in life.

Zachary Lamari

Groomsman

Zach is my (Micaela's) younger brother and just graduated from Quincy University in May 2021. I am very proud of him and all he has accomplished so far. We have many memories together; family trips exploring Colorado as well as our trip to Idaho to see Tommy and Amanda, and attending your games in high school to name a few. I think one of my favorite memories was when we went up to Evergreen and took sibling photos. I am looking forward to celebrating with you in July and happy you can be apart of our celebration.

Brandon Norwood

Groomsman

I met Brandon my second year at San Diego State when we shared an apartment with two other guys. After the apartment we rented a house together for another year. Brandon introduced me to his fraternity brothers Ben and Clay. I needed a place to stay for the summer and moved into the garage of Brandon, Ben and Clay's house. We spent many hours at the gym together and not enough time studying. Brandon could always school me on the basketball court but I always had him in the weight room. Brandon and Ben made a trip out to Colorado when I first moved, met Micaela, and went snowboarding. I am not sure if they thought this would be the girl I would marry or not.

Ben Romig

Groomsman

I met Ben through Brandon. Ben is an active snowboarder and gym goer so we have a lot in common. Ben and I became close after I had moved into the garage at the house on 54th street. We lived together for 4 years in Pacific Beach. During the 4 years, we spent many 6am workouts together at Performance 360. He might be more fit than me but I will always out squat him.

Clay Britsch

Groomsman

I met Clay through Brandon. We became close when I moved into the garage. Clay is always up for a beach day and a good talk. Clay and I ran our first Tough Mudder in 2015. We definitely were not prepared but we fought through and finished. There are many stories about Clay that cannot be told to uphold his dignity ;). We love you Clay!

Also Micaela's (and John's) Uncle. He married them in Nevada on June 26, 2020. He married my aunt in 2009 and then moved to Croatia where they lived for 12 years. They set up a church and served the Roma gypsies during their time.
