We’d love nothing more than to see our favorite people get dressed up for our big day. If you need Emily Post-inspired guidance, think summer cocktail attire. Our ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be held both indoors and outdoors.
Our venue is a lake house with limited space, so we can only accommodate those guests who are formally invited on your wedding invitation. We hope that you understand, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
As with extra guests, the same is true for kids - we can only accommodate those who are listed on the invitation (either specifically named, or your invitation will include “and Family”). Again, we truly hope that you understand, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
We will update this when formal invitations are sent out.
You will absolutely be missed! If you are unable to make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. You can either reach out to us if you know now, or you should RSVP “not attending” once formal invitations are sent out.
We are encouraging everyone to take the shuttle from the Holiday Inn in Roanoke Rapids to the venue (more info on the shuttle is on the venue & travel info page). Parking is extremely limited and we need to prioritize it for vendors and the wedding party. Additionally, the roads to the venue are dark and winding - these are not roads you should drive on if you have had even one drink. We know that some of you may choose to drive, but do so at your own risk of not finding a spot and missing our ceremony!
We have chosen to do an unplugged ceremony. This means that once the ceremony begins, we are asking for cellphones and cameras to be put away and silenced. We want our guests to be present with us in this moment, so we have hired a photographer and a videographer to capture our marriage. Once the ceremony is over, you can take as many photos as you’d like!
