Wedding Party

Maddie Chrisman

Maid of Honor

From high school to now, Maddie and I have been through so much together. From breaking the rules and drinking Sangria in Spain during our Senior Year Choir Trip, to running around Portlandia eating at all the coolest spots and making SpongeBob references every chance we get, I can't imagine having anyone else as my Maid of Honor. Thank you for always being there for me, no matter what adventures life has taken us. I know there are plenty more memories to come. I love you, Magui!

Aaron Trimmell

Best Man

Besides my parents Aaron is the only person that has been able to put up with me for the 22 years that he has been alive (I'm really hoping that Jenelle will be added to this list as well). Growing up in the middle of nowhere we really only had each other or the animals to talk to... so he became not only my little brother but one of my best friends. Many summers were spent endlessly playing Wiffle Ball in the front lawn of our house when we weren't traveling to play baseball and those are some of my favorite memories. I always knew that my little brother was going to be the best man in my wedding.

Amelia Wright

Bridesmaid

After being in Setons together at GU and sitting next to each other in Consumer Behavior, I was lucky enough to live with this gal for one year post grad, and I'm so thankful for that year and your friendship. Amelia (or Mia to some) is the gal you want around when you need a life talk, a dance off and any situation in between. Thank you for cheering me on always, and for being one of the biggest supporters of Josh and I from the start. "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good."

Andy Newman

Groomsman

If you had asked me in August of 2012 if my new college roommate at Gonzaga, who was from a small town north of Seattle that I had never heard of, played a sport (soccer) that I had never had any desire to watch before, and already had 25 friends coming from high school to Gonzaga, would be in my wedding 7 years later, I would have told you you were pretty crazy. No way would this guy want to hang out with me or would I want to get to know him. It didn't take very long for me to realize how wrong I was. From late night pillow talks, to constantly being the 3rd wheel with him and Shannon, to asking each other to be Groomsman in both of our weddings this summer I think that we can both vouch that Gonzaga's roommate application process is pretty top notch.

Hallie Kurtz

Bridesmaid

Oh buddy!! I'm forever thankful to CM NW for having this girl just a couple doors down during my freshman year of college. Hallie (pronounced Hay-Lee, but I still call her H-al-lee anyway) has been there. Too many times were we studying in the CM basement for O-Chem, and would end up having life talks I'll never forget, or laying in my bed at 1616 in Spokane reminiscing and dreaming about everything to come. Look at us now! I am truly lucky you're in my life, Hals!

Nate Dalton

Groomsman

There are a couple of things that I know to be true in this world, Gonzaga basketball will always be my favorite sports team, the sky is blue, and Nate and I will be playing Hoopfest together until one of us drops dead. Every year since 4th grade Nate and I have teamed up to demonstrate our love for basketball in the streets of Spokane in the sweltering 100 degree heat. Many summers we spent playing basketball in his slanted driveway, listening to screamo music (everyone has one of those phases right? RIGHT??), and pulling all nighters. Nate is the person that I spent my last day and night with before I left for college and whenever someone says "brother from another mother" he is immediately the person that I think of.

Lauren Konrad

Bridesmaid

Lauren (AKA LoKo) and I lived together in 1616 during our senior year of college, and I swear no one gets me to laugh like Lauren does. I am constantly inspired by her energy, risk-taking and overall zest for life. Thank you, Lauren for pushing me out of my comfort zone, making me dance and making me do outdoor things more. But for real, thank you for always being willing to chat about the things that scare us, and for always encouraging me through them. You push me to try new things and to laugh more, and my life wouldn't be the same without you.

Ryan Caindec

Groomsman

The second I watched Ryan (or as many people call him Caindec) shoot a basketball in the RFC gym at Gonzaga our freshman year I knew that I had to be friends with him. Honestly it's a thing of beauty. Ryan and I got the chance to live with each other in houses our Junior year at 317 Nora, Senior year at 1004.5 Sinto, First year post grad at 518 Sinto, and then finally our Second year post grad at 524 Nora. Thinking back on it now it was not because he is one of my best friends but because I knew if I lived with Ryan, Mama Caindec would send pans of homemade egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce several times a year for the house that he was living in.

Shannon Manso

Bridesmaid

SHANNY! My oh my! I am so thankful for our first year post grad, as I was lucky enough to get to know you more and more throughout the past couple years. Anyone who knows Shannon knows that she will call at such random times, but after we chat, I can't help but feel like it is always the right time. You always know the right thing to say and I'm so thankful for your kind heart and your encouraging spirit. Also, thank you for understanding my love for true crime podcasts and bonding with me over them!! Here's to plenty more glasses of wine and speaking our hearts into existence.

Kelly Laird

Groomsman

A personality that really is larger than life both relationally and physically, Kelly and I met freshman year in the dorms of CM at Gonzaga. Before meeting Kelly I considered myself a competitive person, I despise losing. Meeting Kelly made me realize that in actuality, my competitive nature is pretty average. Whether it is a game of Catan, Fortnite, or basketball I can count on Kelly to never hand out pity points or participation medals. Look for Kelly to be the first one on the dance floor, the first one to say "shots anyone?", and overall the life of the party at Jenelle and I's wedding.

Amanda Hardt

Bridesmaid

Amanda (AKA Panda), you are my rockstar. I have never met someone more determined, devoted and as strong as you are. You are the best friend who constantly challenges me to be the best friend, partner, and human I can be. You seriously send some of the funnest text messages ever, and I strongly recommend on following her #AdultingWithAmanda hashtag on Twitter. You make me laugh til I cry, but you also have made me cry (on multiple occasions) by your kind words and gestures. I'm so thankful Gonzaga and Dillon 301 brought us together, because you're stuck with me sister. I am truly so lucky to have you in my life.

Trevor Obrinsky

Groomsman

Trevor and I also met in the halls of CM our Freshman year as he lived right across the hall from me in CM Southeast. When Andy would be gone at soccer practices or games I would spend a lot of time hanging out with him and his roommate so we got to know each other pretty well. From twinning on our way to a party freshman year to him letting me move in with him and his girlfriend Mackenzie this past summer for a month, Trevor has been one of the most dependable friends that I have. Also, If you see Trevor at the wedding please get him a drink or hand him your flask and tell him it's from me, I could really use a nice draft pick in our fantasy football league next year that he commissions.

Andria Kelly

Bridesmaid

To be honest, I think it took us one semester to go from total strangers, to best friends, and we are still going strong! Fun Fact: Andria was who I had my first drink with in a bar on my 21st birthday: A good ol' Gladiator Bomb in Jack and Dan's. What a time. You were the first person I told about how I thought I was going to marry Joshua, and how I felt like a crazy person for saying it at the time. You are such an amazing friend, and I don't know what I would do without your constant support, over-an-hour phone calls and being my human diary. You also told me what NaNaimo bars were, and that changed my life itself. But for real, thank you for reminding me to love myself more, for always sending poetry back and forth on Instagram and being my confidant. You are the best.

Austin Portch

Groomsman

Austin, or AMP as many of his friends refer to him as, came to Gonzaga in our Junior year. Austin and I would talk at parties and would see each other if I came to hang out with some of the guys that he was living with Junior and Senior year, but outside of that didn't really become close until I moved into the 524 Nora house. I'd be lying if I said that the Dank Meme Group and Fortnite weren't big reasons for the chemistry that brought us together. After about the 10th time of getting all of Nyne to do the Macarena simultaneously I realized that Austin was definitely a friend that I needed to keep around. I also expect Austin to be Kelly's main source of competition when it comes to hitting the dance floor first, getting shots for the boys, or being the life of the party.

Markie Davis

Bridesmaid

COUSIN!!!! I am so thankful I went to college in Spokane, because it gave me the opportunity to get closer to you and see you more often than a couple times a year. My whole life I've always thought you were the coolest (and I still do) to the point where I would copy you growing up. one small example is I used to always get huge Lucky Brand rings just to copy you. You have such a heart of gold and are one of the strongest, most resilient people I know, and it inspires me so often. Thank you for being there for me through this whole process, for teaching me that Coors Light is the best cheap beer (no competition) and for giving the best hugs ever. I love you, cuz, no matter what, I always will.

Tony Sisco

Groomsman

Contrary to popular belief, the first time i heard of Tony was not actually on Jenelle and I's first or second date or even when I awkwardly came to Jenelle's graduation party to meet her family after knowing her for 2 weeks. The first time I heard of Tony was actually one Saturday morning after I came out to the living room of my house on 518 Sinto and saw Ryan Caindec stalking some dudes Instagram and watching videos of him rapping. Ryan was watching this weeks installment of 4 Bar Friday and I sat with Ryan and watched months worth of these videos. I was pretty jealous of his flow and actually found out a couple months later that he was Jenelle's brother. In all seriousness though, I couldn't have asked for a better brother to welcome me into this family.
