Karen and Serena met through college Model UN and grew closer through organizing a conference in Brazil. There they navigated countless challenges while embracing caipirinhas and la vida loca. After Karen moved to NYC, Serena was a constant source of support and friendship. From ski trips to raves (okay, one rave), they've gone on many adventures and Karen's glad Serena's back in NYC after being away during business school and the pandemic.

Abhinav (Abhi) and Jason met at Wash U as residents on the same freshman floor. Jason and Abhi both grew up playing and watching soccer and grew closer as Jason would console Abhi, a casual Arsenal fan, each year when Arsenal inevitably ended up 4th place. Although they do not live in the same city any more, Abhi and Jason keep in touch to discuss fantasy Premier League strategies and watch Arsenal lose to Newcastle.

Lydia and Karen lived in the same tiny freshman dorm that no one on campus knew of (Mower Power!). They bonded over their love of salty snacks and staying in and were roommates sophomore through senior year. While they've lived in distant cities post-college, they've visited each other when the opportunity arose, with Lydia even incurring a fractured foot in London along the way (darned Pearson bathroom!).

David and Jason met at Wash U as freshmen both earnest in pursuing careers as doctors, but once they accepted reality, ultimately pivoted to software engineering. Jason remembers spending long nights delaying finishing their CS labs by having to carry David to a win in League of Legends. Since moving to NYC, David and Jason enjoy meeting up to play board games, watch Survivor, and explore the outdoors.

Karen met Dasle through her first post-college job at Pearson, where Dasle managed the rotational program that Karen joined. Dasle’s warmth and brilliant organizational skills were key to the program’s success. After Karen moved to New York, she was grateful to have Dasle's Yelp-Elite NYC know-how and to have a go-to Broadway buddy. Dasle was also the first of Karen’s friends to meet Jason in Fall of 2020!

Kevin and Jason met at Wash U and hung out regularly over a love of dice board games. After graduating, Kevin moved to NYC for work where he and Jason love to get Korean BBQ or hot pot, watch sports, hike, and play soccer and tennis together. Kevin also has the cutest maltipoo, Winnie, who is one of Dobby's best and only friends and they regularly play together.

A few months after moving to London, Karen met Kathleen, a fellow American expat working at Pearson. Karen knew pretty much no one in town, and Kathleen's expert hosting skills were key to helping Karen build a community. In addition to exploring the UK, they also went on a PortuGals trip to Lisbon, which was a highlight of Karen's time abroad. Karen's glad Kathleen's back in NYC so they can go on more adventures!
Officiant
Prateek and Jason met as freshmen on the same floor at Wash U and later became suitemates. Jason fondly remembers going to concerts together, playing basketball, and having late night life talks and Bear's Den runs with Prateek. Since graduating, Prateek has worked and moved all around the country and traveled the world. Whenever he happens to pop by New York, Jason can always count on Prateek to have an amazing story of a new place he's been.
