This hotel is about 2.5 miles from the venue. So it’s not walkable, but close. The rooms are nice - with a full kitchen. There’s a shared patio area and full lobby with bar. This is a good option if you can’t or don’t want to stay at one of our top two preferred hotels.

Atlanta is full of hotels. So is Decatur, though only the Hampton and Courtyard are walking distance of the venue. But if you don't want to stay there, no problem! Pick any hotel from your favorite chain or try a new boutique spot. You can even go the Airbnb route. We simply request that you give yourself plenty (we mean PLENTY) of time to get to the venue for our ceremony. Friday night traffic won't be a cakewalk - driving, taking Uber/Lyft, or hopping on MARTA all work, but allow a generous window. The jokes about Atlanta traffic exist for a reason, folks. Arrive early, and then bum around the Square for a bit before our ceremony.
Flight
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International airport
The VAST majority of our guests will travel from other states for our wedding. Fly into Atlanta! Airport code ATL. Delta has a hub at the airport, but any major airline works. Decatur is about 25 minutes/16 miles away. You can rent a car if you'd like, but transit from the airport is easy and Ubers/Lyfts are generally plentiful.
Train
MARTA
We are big public transit enthusiasts. The train costs only $2.50 each way. To take the MARTA train from the airport to Decatur: Follow signs at baggage claim to MARTA/trains. Take any train going north. (The airport is the end of the line - you can’t go the wrong direction or pick the wrong train). Exit at Five Points Station; transfer to the Blue Line, going toward Indian Creek. Take this to the Decatur stop. Our recommended hotels are a 0.2-mile walk from the station. Total trip from the airport is about 35 minutes, give or take. If you prefer not to take the train, open your Uber or Lyft app at the airport and follow directions to the rideshare pickup spots. Traditional taxis are also an option, though we've never done that so can't speak to it directly.
