Things To Do

We're so excited to share our love for the Amherst area with you all! Here's a few of our favorite spots!
Antonio's Pizza

Antonio's Pizza

31 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA 01002
, (413) 253-0808

Antonio's is a favorite spot for local college students (including us during our time at UMass). It's a small space known for its unique pizza flavors, toppings and of course, dollar cheese slices at midnight.

Antonio's Pizza

Antonio's Pizza

31 Federal Street, Belchertown, MA 01007
, (413) 323-6844

If you prefer to try Antonio's famous pizza for a more formal lunch, check out their dine-in location about 20 minutes away in Belchertown. We used to go here nearly every Saturday night during our last year together at UMass.

McMurphy's Uptown Tavern

McMurphy's Uptown Tavern

37 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA 01002
, (413) 253-0170

We spent many Weekend nights here (We signed our names somewhere in the bathroom if you want proof). We recommend ordering our favorite "The Trash Can," although we still couldn't tell you for sure what's in it.

Atkins Farm Amherst

Atkins Farm Amherst

Swallow Farms Road, Amherst, MA 01002

The best country market with a great selection of local goods, including Apple Cider Donuts (Which we consumed many of during our time at UMass).

Grey Matter Books

Grey Matter Books

47 East St, Hadley, MA 01035
, 413-387-0160

Jaclyn used to go to this bookstore whenever possible. Grey Matter Books is hidden away from the rest of the downtown area, but has one of the best used book collections you could spend hours sorting through.

University of Massachusetts Amherst

University of Massachusetts Amherst

Amherst, MA 01003
, (413) 545-0111

We recommend taking a walk through the campus where it all began! You can check out the Daily Collegian office in the Campus Center where we both met, walk up Orchard Hill where we both lived at one point, (be prepared for a workout), and spend time by the campus pond with the famous Sam the Minuteman statue (don't forget to rub his foot for good luck!)

The Montague Bookmill

The Montague Bookmill

440 Greenfield Road, Montague, MA 01351
, (413) 367-9206

About 20 minutes from campus, the Montague Bookmill is a bookstore located in a picturesque portion of Western Massachusetts. It’s also a great place where you can grab a bite to eat and then roam around some small shops in the area.

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art

125 West Bay Road, Amherst, MA 01002
, (413) 559-6300

A great trip for children and adults!

The Quarters

The Quarters

8 Railroad Street, Hadley, MA 01035
, (413) 429-4263

A fun bar spot with tons of arcade games for everyone to enjoy!

Emily Dickinson Museum

Emily Dickinson Museum

280 Main Street, Amherst, MA 01002
, (413) 542-8161

The museum recently underwent a major restoration, so even if you've seen it before, it would be worth checking out.

For all the days along the way
