Antonio's is a favorite spot for local college students (including us during our time at UMass). It's a small space known for its unique pizza flavors, toppings and of course, dollar cheese slices at midnight.
If you prefer to try Antonio's famous pizza for a more formal lunch, check out their dine-in location about 20 minutes away in Belchertown. We used to go here nearly every Saturday night during our last year together at UMass.
We spent many Weekend nights here (We signed our names somewhere in the bathroom if you want proof). We recommend ordering our favorite "The Trash Can," although we still couldn't tell you for sure what's in it.
The best country market with a great selection of local goods, including Apple Cider Donuts (Which we consumed many of during our time at UMass).
Jaclyn used to go to this bookstore whenever possible. Grey Matter Books is hidden away from the rest of the downtown area, but has one of the best used book collections you could spend hours sorting through.
We recommend taking a walk through the campus where it all began! You can check out the Daily Collegian office in the Campus Center where we both met, walk up Orchard Hill where we both lived at one point, (be prepared for a workout), and spend time by the campus pond with the famous Sam the Minuteman statue (don't forget to rub his foot for good luck!)
About 20 minutes from campus, the Montague Bookmill is a bookstore located in a picturesque portion of Western Massachusetts. It’s also a great place where you can grab a bite to eat and then roam around some small shops in the area.
A great trip for children and adults!
