We met at the University of Massachusetts as writers for The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, the student newspaper on campus. We bonded over our love of AP Style, Antonio's pizza and late-night movies. We started dating in February 2015, despite Jaclyn planning to move to South Carolina a few months later. Following some long-distance, Patrick made a trip to Charleston and decided to stay. In the South, we fell in love with craft beer, BBQ and our cat , Persephone. Now, we've returned home to Boston ready to start our lives together!

Patrick proposed on December 27, 2019, at Boston Common at "Our Bench." For years whenever we met each other downtown, it was always at the same bench in the Common, overlooking Swan Pond. Jaclyn was very concerned when Patrick led her through the park late at night without any explanation, but it was worth it.

We want to celebrate with you! We have both relocated back home to the Boston area, and are so happy to be near friends and family again after our time together down South. Join us for festivities at the University of Massachusetts campus. The ceremony will be held at the Old Chapel and the reception will follow at the UMass Hotel. We are so excited to be together with everyone we care about, in the place where our story really began!
