Isak Heartstone is one of only 80 wooden trolls located around of the world. Created by Thomas Dambo, a Danish artist, Isak is one of our favorite places to go see. It is a 5 minute stroll down a path before you happen upon Isak. Located in the southeast corner of Stephen C. West Ice Arena, follow the Illinois Gulch Trailhead about 5 minutes before you see this beautiful piece of art! Difficulty: Easy Time: 5-10 minutes
This is one of our favorite hikes. Located 10 minutes outside of Breckenridge, Sapphire Point trail is an easy loop with gorgeous views of Lake Dillon and the Ten-Mile and Gore Mountain ranges. This trail is also covered with chipmunks so bring some seeds! Difficulty: Easy Time: 20-30 minutes
Take this 2.5 mile loop around the Boreas pass. Beautiful mountain and valley views with wildlife and wildflowers. This hike will include an elevation gain of 150 feet so we recommend this hike for more experienced hikers. Tip: Continue up past Bakers Tank Trailhead 6 miles to the train station to avoid adding several miles onto your hike. Difficulty: Moderate Time: 2.5-3 hours
#1 Rated hike in Breckenridge. Stroll through aspens and around Sawmill Reservoir in a 1.6 mile loop. Difficulty: Easy Time: 1.5-2 hours
