Carter and I grew up coming out to Summit County since we were little and have countless memories in the mountains with our families and friends. That love continued as we grew older spending winters snowboarding and summers hiking and fishing. When we first started dating, I lived in Silverthorne, CO for 6 weeks house-sitting for our family friends. Because of the distance, Carter and I FaceTimed weekly where we would spend our evenings making dinner together and getting to know one another. It was over those virtual dinner dates we grew closer. We have been going back every year and creating new memories together ever since.
It was a mutual swipe right on a dating app that brought us together- a true modern day love story. I was intrigued by his fishing photos and great smile, he liked my taste in music and brown eyes. After weeks of chatting and getting to know one another, we decided we would grab happy hour at one of our local favorites, Gram and Dunn. We were both walking down separately to the date spot where, at a stop light, I heard someone say, "Hey, you look familiar." I turned to the left and there he was. Little did we know, we had only lived 3 blocks away from each other. With two big smiles, we began our date there at the stoplight, walking and spending the evening getting to know one another. We both left that date thinking, "This really could be something"
Our venue requires your vaccination card or proof of a negative PCR test within 5 days of the wedding date. You mean the world to us and your health and safety is our biggest priority. As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we are abiding by local health guidance and will have masks and sanitizer readily available for everyone.
Since we will be celebrating in the mountains, we would kindly request that gifts be sent to our home in Kansas City - 4932 Holly St. Kansas City, MO 64112. This will help us reduce the amount of items we need to travel with back to Kansas City as we are leaving for our honeymoon from Denver.
To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.
If you plan on driving to Breckenridge, we highly recommend that you anticipate holiday mountain traffic. Traffic will be especially heavy going west on Friday, Saturday and returning east on Tuesday.
You are welcome to stay wherever you feel most comfortable. There are dozens of hotels and rental homes in town and near Breckenridge. Due to the holiday weekend, we were unable to solidify a block rate. We have provided hotel suggestions at varying price ranges on the "Travel" tab of our wedding website.
