A mutual friend hosted a yearly BBQ, and we both came seperately. On either end, mutual friends of ours were encouraging us to "meet" and "see what happens" - but we weren't really ready. Aaron sent a Instagram message saying it was "nice to meet you" - but Gretchen dismissed it as simply a friendly connection. Fast forward 1 month, and Gretchen was officiating one of their mutual friend's weddings; Aaron was the photographer. Aaron mentioned that he had never gotten Gretchen's number, and Gretchen shrugged and said "You never asked!". Needless to say, 15min later, Aaron made sure to revisit the conversation, and the rest is history!
