Join us 7/15 for a morning snorkel and pizza lunch around Little and Great St James in the St Thomas marine sanctuary. We leave from P dock at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook at 9am. From there we cruise over to a snorkel spot to see beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish at Little St James. Next, we head to Christmas Cove at Great St James for another fantastic snorkel while we wait for our fresh pizza lunch to be delivered via dinghy from Pizza PI, the sailboat famous for their onboard pizza kitchen. Sodas, water, beer, rum punch and painkillers are available with the open bar (alcohol is served AFTER snorkeling is done). After an early lunch, we cruise back to St Thomas at 12:30. Pizza, snacks, drinks and snorkel gear are all included. Please click the "view" button below & fill out the waiver before we arrive!
There is good snorkeling at the beach and also in front of the D building but you will need water shoes in the bay in front of D. There is also a very nice reef with large schools of tropical fish right in front of building E. If you are a strong swimmer then you can swim around the point where the pool is and come back via the main reef at Sapphire - But be careful because there can be a strong current beyond the point. There is a reef in front of B and C buildings where there are various fish and coral although a lot of that coral has been damaged by people standing and walking on it. You will see a dark area that is sea grass straight out from the main beach. You can often see turtles, rays, and squid there. Make sure to keep your distance from the coral as touching it can not only damage the coral, but hurt you as well. Beware of the FIRE CORAL!
If you have a return flight later in the day, ask your taxi driver to stop by Charlotte Amelie overlook on the way to the airport for the best view of the island, last-minute souvenir shopping, and yummy banana daiquiris
