See you in St. Thomas!

Even though we might have crossed paths in the hallways at North Central, Greg and I didn't meet until November 2019. I was scrolling through Hinge and saw a picture of a cute boy with an even cuter French bulldog laying on his chest. I may have immediately wanted to meet Carter, but Greg and I talked & got to know each other for a bit before our first date in Broad Ripple. I was excited & honestly a little scared to meet Greg. I had such a strong feeling that he was it. Just from talking to him, I could tell he was a kind, thoughtful, caring man who was serious about finding the one. I don't think we broke eye contact once during that first date & I didn't want the night to end. We had so much fun on our first few dates, looking at Christmas lights, going to movies and just spending time together. Before I knew it, we were falling in love.

Fast forward to August 2022. Greg and I took a trip to D.C. to visit our friends and do some sightseeing. Our first night in D.C we went out to dinner, but we were both too nervous to eat anything. We'd gone ring shopping not too long before our trip so I had a feeling Greg might have a surprise planned. On the walk back to the hotel, we passed a cute park and stopped to sit on the swings. We were chatting and Greg started to fiddle with something in his pocket when a little old lady security card yelled "PARK'S CLOSED - GO BACK TO YOUR HOTEL" Greg was thrown off, but I thought it was hilarious and something that would happen to us. Back at the hotel, enjoying a drink on our balcony, Greg got down on one knee, told me how much he loved me and popped the question.
