Ashley Welker

MAID OF HONOR

My baby-sister-turned-best-friend (after many years of sisterly chaos) – Ashley is the first person I call for exciting news, sad news, hot gossip, or the humbling opinion only a sister can provide. We could not be more different, yet she is the only one who knows me better than I know myself. We have shared clothes, alma maters, birthday parties, inside jokes, sports teams, and now even the same wedding year! She may be two years younger, but I always go to her for advice (mostly on whether something is still cool or not). Ashley is fearless, hilarious, independent, goofy, and incredible – I am so lucky to have her by my side on all the days, especially my wedding day.

Dillon Rudnicki

BEST MAN

I met Dillon the very first day of “Frog” week at JMU. We instantly bonded over our love for baseball, 90s alternative jams, and Razor scooters. We became even closer while living together sophomore through senior year, when Dillon turned into the brother I never had. Now that we live in different states, we don’t get to see each other as often – but when we do, it’s like we’re right back in our living room at JMU watching Conan or Always Sunny on a random Wednesday night. Dillon is a wizard with Excel, a bit weird, and someone who always looks at the humor in every situation. I am honored to have Dillon standing by my side next fall.

Liza Karras

B R I D E S M A I D

I don’t believe in soulmates but have always thought of Liza as my soul sister. We are complete opposites who have been best friends the majority of our lives. Liza has been with me through every excruciatingly awkward but also incredibly fun phase of life: Sunday school, side bangs, Tumblr, college formals (yes, we took each other), summers on the lake, Thanksgiving Eves, becoming dog moms, and many more. It is crazy to think we were just 13 years old stressed about how to decorate our shared locker. Liza is the human form of a ray of sunshine – the most compassionate, sarcastic, creative, big-hearted person – and I could not be more honored to have her by my side.

Alex Wedding

G R O O M S M A N

Alex and I met nearly a decade ago while working at the Tiger Woods Foundation, quickly forming a tight-knit friend group that a former co-worker once called “odd.” Our friendship truly deepened when we lived together during the height of COVID. Some of our best memories involve watching Love Island UK, sharing our favorite rosé, and laughing for hours on end. Alex is always down for a good time – we have had our fair share of impromptu golf and brewery trips to places like Pinehurst and Asheville. Alex is sarcastic, hilariously goofy, and my go-to for all things clothing advice. I know we’re in for plenty of laughs together over the wedding weekend.

Meredith Butler

B R I D E S M A I D

Meredith and I met during the awkward years of late-elementary school, and by divine intervention (aka catching trains at the Chinatown metro), reconnected after college. We have been grossly inseparable ever since. Our post-grad roommate years are still my favorite. Living together was like living with a sister: raiding each other’s closets, endless puzzling, giant glasses of red wine, Love Island UK, and belly laughs. We have come a long way since then, but not much has changed. No matter how much time we spend together (a lot), it is never enough. Meredith is one of the hardest working, fiercest, truly COOLEST, life-filled people I have ever known, and I would be lost without her.

Tim Bifulco

G R O O M S M A N

“It was totally serendipitous…” Tim and I originally met at JMU while living in the same dorm. After college we became much closer and eventually lived together for two years during the pandemic. You can catch us talking about our mediocre golf swings or quoting Hot Rod on a regular basis. Tim has a knack for a well-timed meme that makes me crack up no matter what mood I am in. As much as we enjoy being stupid, I always appreciate our more serious conversations about all things life. Tim is the guy who always has your back, is stupid savvy with Instagram, and will never figure out the difference between Top Chef and Chef’s Table. “Stay sweet.”

Emma Perez

B R I D E S M A I D

Emma is my other half in many ways: workout partner, co-wedding planner, coastal weekend travel companion, playlist collaborator… the list goes on. Before I met Greg, I spent 50% of my time at Emma’s place – now, I just bring Greg and Peppa along with me. From bar crawls, breakups, Bob & Edith’s, and our first solo girl apartments, to “strongly encouraging” Greg and Mike (her husband) to be friends so we can do everything together (even if they never get a word in) – she has been by my side through many major milestones. Emma is my number one hype girl, cheerleader, instigator, protective and loyal BEST girl. She brings so much joy into my life, and I love sharing this phase of life with her.

Casey Healy

G R O O M S M A N

This may come as a surprise, but Casey and I also met while living in the same JMU freshman dorm. We quickly learned that we were both big fans of Philly sports and a dry-humored joke. Casey and I lived right next to each other in the same house after college, where he went full dad-mode, mowing our lawn every chance he got. Now we get our two most special pups, Maple and Peppa, together on a regular basis as an excuse to get together and let the dogs’ (and humans’) energy out. Casey is one of the most quietly hilarious people I know, a truly genuine friend, and the reason Jeezy is banned from our wedding playlist. Go Birds!
