Brian and Kat met at Arlington Catholic High School. One fall night at a bonfire, Brian sat next to Kat and put his arm around her. They spent the night stargazing and talking about how Oreos are much better when they are frozen. Kat asked Brian if she could be his hockey cheerleader for the upcoming season and promised to make him the best candy bags. They exchanged numbers and have been "cougar crazy" about each other ever since! Even at the young age of 16, they knew that they were always meant to be together.

After graduating college, Brian & Kat set a goal to travel to all of the National Parks. They decided to make a trip to the Hawaiian Islands to visit the two National Parks there. At Haleakala National Park in Maui, they hiked into the crater of the dormant volcano. While taking pictures in front of the unbelievable view, Brian got down on one knee, spoke about the night they first met, and asked Kat to marry him. She said YES! They then watched the sunset from the top of the mountain, over the clouds, and stargazed like their very first night together. They spoke about how someday they would come back with their future children. They can't wait for a lifetime of more adventures together.
