Travel Note
Hello! We know that for some of us, a preference to stay at a vacation rental is how we prefer to travel. However, we wanted to let you guys aware of a law that passed on Oahu island that strictly regulates short-term rentals. There is increased scrutiny on short-term vacation rentals (airbnb, vrbo, etc.) and they are requiring 30-day minimum stays for most rentals. There are city-approved zones that permit short-term rentals but they must meet certain requirements like being in a "resort heavy" part of the island (Waikiki, Ko'olina, etc.). If you do decide to book through a vacation rental website, please click "View" below and read the website provided by the City of Honolulu to confirm legitimate bookings of rentals. A good tip is also to ask the host for their business license if they do not already advertise it on their listing.
Flight
How much do flights typically cost? The answer varies depending on what city you are coming from. Airlines are currently having huge sales to Honolulu for our wedding date. Airlines like Alaska and Hawaiian (and plenty others) are offering flight guarantee for travel through December 2020. On average, you can expect to pay RT flights for: LAX - HNL = $350 SEA - HNL = $475 SFO - HNL = $475 Thanks to you scouters out there, there are flights running about $200 RT to Honolulu which is unheard of!

No, we don't have a block of rooms anywhere. Since the wedding is not in a hotel, we don't anticipate having enough people to make a room block make sense. We would also like to give people the freedom of staying anywhere they want on the island. Speaking of hotels, below we brief a few of our hotel recommendations. We are staying in Waikiki and providing transportation to the wedding so most of our recommendations will be in Waikiki but feel free to stay where you would like!
