The Air Force Museum is free, and close by! Take some time to see a little piece of history.
Davis Lanes will give you all of the old school bowling vibes. Plus, there is a full bar in the back!
Who doesn’t love some good old fashioned arcade games? Flynn’s has a great selection of games, and instead of trading your dollars for coins, they charge by the hour. Meaning, you can play as many of the games as much as you want for the time you’re there.
If you’re looking for some outdoor time, and are interested in enjoying the Great Salt Lake then take a trip out to Antelope Island. You can also see prong horn, or Antelope, and Buffalo.
Pineview is located just up Ogden canyon, and is one of Gabby’s favorite places to relax. You can take some chairs and just sit on the beach, or you can rent some kayaks, paddle boards, or jet skis and enjoy some time out on the water
The Coop is a bar, that is owned and operated by Rooster Brewing Company; an Ogden brewing company. Not only is it close to the hotels in the area-within walking distance-it also has a great atmosphere for hanging out, catching up, and grabbing some good food.
Right next door to The Coop, Roosters Brewing Company is one of our favorite places to eat. Plus, you can’t beat a locally owned and operated business! Some of our favorite items off the menu are the Naughty Fries, the Mac & Cheese, and the Chicken Carbonara Pizza.
Slackwater is another of our favorites places to grab a bite to eat, and it’s a popular spot for all locals. Not only do they have an excellent and wide variety of beer, they have some of the best food! Some of our favorites items are the Grape & Gorg Pizza, the From the Earth Pizza, and the Cardiac Arrest. We would also recommend any of the appetizers, and the You’ll Be Stiffed sticks with a side of their spicy marinara.
Warrens Craft Burgers is another locally owned business. While nothing can quite compare to Lucky 13 burgers in SLC, these come to a close second. Some items we recommend off the menu would be the Morning Glory Burger and the Mac & Cheese Burger. Best part-they can sub any burger on the menu for a veggie burger or black bean burger.
While Tsunami might be a bit more of drive from Layton than our other suggestions. Tsunami is one of our favorite places to eat. They have the best and freshest sushi around, as well as an incredibly diverse menu. We normally order the Hot Mamba (the best roll you’ve ever had), the BQD, and if they are serving lunch go for a rice bowl.
