We're getting married!

Amanda was interning at Wilson West Middle School where Matt was working as a PE teacher. This was during COVID, so students had to line up when entering the building to get their temperatures taken by Matt. Amanda was one of the greeters as students entered the building. They casually chatted each day learning more and more about each other. Amanda and her supervisor decided to plan a staff hangout at Setter Ridge Vineyards, where Amanda works. Matt went hoping to get to know Amanda better, but she had attended an Oktoberfest the night before and didn't make it to the school event. Matt gave Amanda a really hard time the following Monday. Soon Matt and Amanda became Instagram friends and Matt shared a post from The Blue Elephant restaurant of a large platter of sushi with the caption, "who would eat this entire platter." Amanda responded with the hand raised emoji and Matt asked her to out to Blue Elephant that Friday night. Amanda was hesitant, but agreed believing they were just two sushi loving colleagues going to dinner. That night, the couple had so much fun eating sushi and getting to know each other better. They went for drinks after dinner at JJ Ratigan and ended up running into Jayne's cousin, Liz and her family. Matt joked that his mom was getting a text right then and there about the new, mysterious woman that Matt was out with. This was later confirmed by Jayne. After the "date," Amanda sent Matt a text explaining that she wasn't looking for a relationship. He continued to invite Amanda to events and hangouts and slowly, the connection grew. In two months, the couple was dating, in less than one year they purchased a house together, and about a year and half in they were engaged. Now they are excited to be surrounded by their closest friends and family while they celebrate their new marriage.
