Waiheke Island

We love Waiheke Island and would highly recommend staying on the island if you can so you can enjoy the beautiful beaches, walks and excellent dining options! There are only a limited number of taxis/ubers available. Cars, scooters and bikes can be hired , and the island has an extensive bus network (which requires purchase of an 'AT Hop Card'). Man O' War Vineyards

One of the furthest points on the island that has recently been made more easily accessible due to road surfacing. Worth the trek for lunch or a wine tasting right beside the ocean.

Rangitoto Island

1010, New Zealand

A short ferry ride from Waiheke Island is the dormant volcano of Rangitoto. This makes for a great half day trip with an easy to moderate hike to the top with excellent 360 degree views including back to the Auckland CBD.
