Truth be told, modern day dating isn't easy and the likelihood of meeting the one in person is limited by individuals' lifestyles. After becoming disheartened with the online dating scene, Erin tried a new approach and decided to take matters into her own in hands. Instead of being "victim" to whatever suitor dared to pursue her, Erin decided to send out a message to Brett. She first noticed his dark mysterious features and striking, piercing eyes. As she read his only dating profile, she began to feel an overwhelming desire to reach out. She wanted to get to know him better. Brett surprised Erin with his bold move to call her on the phone after a short conversation online, and after 5 days of conversation, Brett asked Erin out on a date for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. So, June 15th of 2019 became the first day of the rest of their lives together. Though Brett was initially looking to make friends, he couldn't help but begin to develop feelings for Erin. To this day, the couple look back on their first meeting and recall the way in which Erin surprised Brett with equal intensity, reading and calling out the subtle changes in face and body as they spoke. In fact, Brett was so intrigued that he knew he would have to kiss Erin by the end of the evening. From that night, the two were inseparable. Brett and Erin all but lived with each other and did everything together. Their love grew and continues to grow organically and unconditionally, without doubt or hesitation. Their love has been tried through their first two years together as they have faced numerous challenges: the Covid pandemic, a serious family medical diagnosis, changing careers and jobs, and Erin undergoing major surgery to help her improve her health. Though this and other trials, their love has continued to carry them forward as they strive towards new goals together. As Sir David Baird once said, "Some people say there are plenty of fish in the sea - until you find love - then there is only one".
