Things To Do

We hope you get a chance to explore the beautiful Mt. Washington Valley (where we met) while you're in town. This list covers a few more accessible suggestions close to the venues, but there is so much more. If you're feeling adventurous or looking for specific recommendations for hiking, climbing, shopping, etc., give us a shout.

Wildcat Mountain (trails from the ski resort)

542 New Hampshire 16, Gorham, NH 03581

Get to the venue early Saturday to enjoy the ridge trail or visit a nearby waterfall. THOMPSON FALLS TRAIL A 1.1-mile (roundtrip) easy trail that is suitable for all skill levels. The Thompson Falls are a great outing on a warm summer day. WILDCAT RIDGE TRAIL (via scenic chairlift) The Wildcat Ridge contains 5 peaks (Wildcat A through Wildcat E). The resort trail starts from the base area and winds up the ski slope, but you can cut off the climb and enjoy the scenic ridges by taking the scenic chairlift ride to the summit of Wildcat D. Once on the summit, you can enjoy the moderate ridge walk to Wildcat A (2.1 miles each way). The Ridge has incredible views of Mount Washington, Carter Notch, and the surrounding valley.

Guests are welcome to hike to the ceremony and take the scenic chair lift down. Let us know if this is your plan and we'll have a lift pass waiting for your ride down and can sort our car shuttles or trail drop-offs. WILDCAT RIDGE TRAIL The Wildcat Ridge Trail begins on NH 16 at the Glen Ellis Falls parking area and steeply ascends to Wildcat D. 2.2 mile one way, 2+ hrs for experienced hikers. NINETEEN-MILE BROOK TRAIL This trail provides a more moderate, longer approach. Find the parking lot for this trailhead on the east side of NH-16. The trail follows a brook up to Carter Notch with a relatively gradual elevation gain. At Carter Notch you will find the Carter Notch AMC Hut and Carter lake.
