Question

What time should I arrive at Wildcat?

Answer

Please plan to arrive early, ideally between 1 - 1:15 pm at the Wildcat Ski Lodge. The ceremony is at the summit of Wildcat at 2:00 pm, and the scenic lift takes about 20 minutes one way. You might want to arrive early to use the lodge restroom or change clothes. Tickets are covered and will be available when you arrive, guests are welcome to ride the lift early to enjoy the scenery.

Question

Is there a bathroom at Wildcat?

Answer

There is no restroom on the Wildcat summit, so please plan accordingly. There will be a restroom available at the Wildcat lodge before you take the chairlift. The mountain is part of the White Mountain National Forest, and Wildcat is one of NH's 4,000-footers. We'll probably see hikers pass by during the ceremony!

Question

Can small children ride the lift?

Answer

Yes! Small toddlers and babies must be firmly attached to an adult via a front backpack or secure wrap. Parents/guardians are encouraged to ride with larger toddlers on their laps. Kids under 10 can ride the lift but must be accompanied by an adult.

Question

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

The reception starts at 5 pm, but we are flexible. You are welcome to come directly to Cheryl and George's from Wildcat (about a 20 minute drive), or to freshen up at your lodging if you wish. Cocktail hour will start at 5, followed by dinner at 7 pm.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

We love dogs - ours and yours both! However, we ask that you please leave your pup at home for the weekend. We'll have our dog (River) and Cheryl's dog (ODI) at the reception. Both are very friendly with humans and look forward to meeting you and your loved ones. However, we would prefer to not facilitate additional dog-dog, dog-food, or dog-farm animal interactions during the celebrations (there are ducks, chickens, turkeys and other birds on the farm). We hope you understand - please reach out if you have any questions.

Question

BYOB?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to bring your own beverages to the reception. Coolers will be available at the reception venue for your beverages. We'll also have local beer, wine, and water available.

Question

Is she changing her name?

Answer

We got legally married last fall and both changed our last name to Emerock [Em-er-rock], a combination of Emerson and Crocker.

Question

Does Ace work at Wildcat?

Answer

Ace ski patrols at another local ski mountain, Attitash. We chose Wildcat because when we met we were both living in AMC staff housing near Mt. Washington. We're so excited to have the opportunity to get married overlooking the place we met and fell in love.
