Bangor International Airport (BGR)

This is the closest major airport to Bar Harbor ( ~60 minutes). American, Delta and United are the major airlines flying in and out of Bangor.

Portland International Airport (PWM)

Not to be confused with the Portland, Oregon airport, PWM is the second closest international airport (~3 hours) carrying a few more major airlines than Bangor. If you fly into Portland, we recommend renting a car and driving scenic Route 1 up the coastline.

Boston Logan is the largest airport in New England servicing all major airlines. If you fly into Boston, we recommend either renting a car and preparing for a longer drive up to Maine (~ 5 hours), or jumping on a Cape Air flight into Hancock County Bar Harbor Airport (BHB).
