Transportation

There are a multitde of airport options within a reasonable distance - see the breakdown below. Consider getting a rental car (or coordinating a carpool) as transportation between Ottawa Executive Airport and the AirZoo; there will be limited to no Uber options.

Flight

Gerald R. Ford International Airport

Grand Rapids will likely be the most convenient airport to fly into as it is the closest commercial airport to our wedding ceremony airport (Ottawa Executive).

Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport

While Kalamazoo Airport is an option, we would recommend against it as it will likely be much more expensive and would require a drive to Zeeland for the ceremony. However, for those electing to stay in Kalamazoo, you might consider reviewing Kalamazoo's options.

Chicago (Midway or O'Hare) & Detroit Airports

For an approximately 3 hour drive, these airports are typically the cheapest options.

Hotels

We elected not to get any hotel blocks due to the wide variety of desired hotel locations & price points. Our ceremony (Zeeland) & our reception (Kalamazoo) are about an hour apart. We would recommend booking hotels in Kalamazoo the night of the wedding as it will be a late night (see below for recommendations). If you elect to stay in Zeeland area (see below for recommendations as well), the ceremony will be much more convenient as long as you're prepared for a late night on the wedding night driving back. We would consider staying at a hotel in Zeeland Saturday night and a hotel in Kalamazoo Sunday night. Also consider looking into Airbnbs/Vrbo/etc as that might fit your family's needs better.

This hotel is catering our wedding. The staff is super friendly & the inside is gorgeous. It is a great option for a night in Kalamazoo. They offer a shuttle to the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport. For those with babies, this hotel offers cribs.

Residence Inn by Marriott Kalamazoo East

Most notably this hotel is pet-friendly & offers free breakfast in the mornings. It also has an outdoor pool; although, it may be a bit chilly to take advantage of it.

For a hotel close to Zeeland, this one offers an indoor pool, breakfast, & is pet-friendly.
