Question

What should we wear? (the answer: not burgundy)

Answer

"Fanciful formal" means cocktail attire, but with bright colors, fun accessories, and a lot of trendiness. Express your inner-hipster in the classiest way you can. No jeans unless you discuss with us in advance. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, and the cocktail hour is on the dinosaur plaza outside. Danielle asks that you please avoid wearing burgundy, red, or dark purple due to the wedding dress (spoilers; obviously, it's not white). **NOTE: This information is correct; the printed invitation is not - blue & gold are okay, but burgundy, red, and dark purple are not.

What if it rains?

Answer

The only outdoor element is the cocktail hour, and we have a contingency plan in place for that if it decides to rain. Please bring an umbrella to use from your car to the lobby, as we do not plan to have an escort attendant.

When should we arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at the museum at 6:00 pm in order to allow time for seating and a prompt ceremony start of 6:30 pm. The sooner we get the ceremony through, the sooner we can all enjoy delicious food and company!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have gone to a lot of effort to learn the names of each of our guests and to ensure this event is shared with the people who mean the most to us in this world. As such, only those formally on your invitation are invited - if you have a plus one, you will already see it included in your invitation. Please feel free to email us at dylandanielleanddinosaurs@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Can I bring my child[ren]?

Answer

Since we have a child of our own, we are not making this an adult-only event. However, in order to keep the event intimate and small, the names of all invitees are included on your invitation. If your child is not included, please know we LOVE your children - we are just working with a limited head count. If you have any questions about childcare arrangements in the area, please contact us at dylandanielleanddinosaurs@gmail.com as Danielle has many great babysitters on call in Atlanta.

Will there be dancing/entertainment?

Answer

Boy do we have things planned for you guys! Not only will our reception have a dance floor underneath the dinosaurs, we also have a killer DJ who those of you in the Atlanta area know from Battle & Brew. There will be team trivia, board games, a photo booth, and more!

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Absolutely! Passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour; food stations during the reception to fill you up and keep you mingling; an open bar from 7:30pm-11:30pm including liquor, wine, and beer; sodas and waters for our non-drinkers; and a passed late night bite for you party animals around 10:30pm. There will also be some variant of cake/dessert.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

The Fernbank has an enormous lot with plenty of spaces to the right of the museum. The museum will be closed when you arrive, so please park close to the main entrance (there is a dinosaur fountain in the plaza).

When are RSVPs due?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 15, 2019. We know this is a little earlier than usual, but Danielle is in grad school and needs to leave an extra buffer of time to ensure this is the best party she's ever thrown.
