Drew and Sean met long before they officially started dating after college. The two both grew up in San Ramon attending Pine Valley Middle School and California High School. They led adjacent lives during those years, Drew very involved in school activities and Sean dedicated to travel hockey, the two also shared close mutual friends. Drew had always been in the back of Sean’s mind, the one who got away. The evening of Halloween 2019 Sean was grabbing drinks with coworkers and a long time friend, Matt Haworth. Sean brought up to Matt that Drew had been on his mind and he wanted to reach out. Matt laid down a challenge and anyone who knows Sean knows he can’t resist a challenge. Matt thought there was no way that Drew would respond to Sean. Happy to report that Matt was wrong! The two reconnected at their local College Night right before Thanksgiving which lead to many dates (Mexican food, saki bombs, ski adventures, rocking out to Carrie Underwood in the In-n-Out drive through, and more) and a trip to Seattle before Drew and Sean officially started dating. On the mountain Drew and Sean share their favorite activity, skiing. The two have introduced each other to their home mountains, Squaw Valley for Drew and Alpine Meadows for Sean. Although on their very first ski date both were concerned the other would not be able to keep up. Since then Drew and Sean have traveled to new ski mountains, had incredible ski days, and many a fun aprés over their relationship. They are thrilled to keep exploring Colorado ski mountains together, especially their favorite destination Steamboat Springs Resort. In addition to their shared love of skiing, Drew and Sean enjoy cooking some of their favorite recipes including steaks on the smoker, fancy brussel sprouts, and red chili garlic Thai noodles. They are in the process of perfecting DIY pizzas with their pizza oven and enjoy sharing their kitchen with friends and family! While they do have many shared hobbies, these two continue to introduce each other to their favorite things. Sean continues to teach Drew about hockey, got her into golf / backpacking, and every football season gets to reexplain what the sports betting lines mean. Drew has shared with Sean her passion for volleyball (pre ACL injury), love of all things brunch and affection for delicious wine. Of all of their shared passions, training and exploring with their 3-year old black lab Ranger is at the top of Drew and Sean’s list as their favorite activity. Hiking trails are always more fun when Ranger joins. Group dinners at their house are more meaningful when Ranger drops a toy in every guest’s lap trying to get them to throw it for him. Ranger is the center of their universe. Their family unit actively explores Colorado and the surrounding states together every chance they get. Tyler Perry say before you marry someone you should see them in all four seasons. Drew and Sean have seen each other through many different seasons beyond winter, spring, summer, and fall. They have supported, cared for and grown through illness, injury, two multi-state moves, new jobs, job loss, sleepless puppy nights, and much more. The support and care these two show each other is special and they are lucky to each have the other cheerleading for them for the rest of their lives. Through all things their motto is “anything can be made fun if we do it together”. Even all night flight delays where the two found a way to enjoy ‘car camping’ together at Denver International Airport. Their love story is 15 years in the making, 4 years deep, and they have a lifetime of love ahead of them! Come celebrate with these love birds and share in one of their favorite places as they commit to continue to love, support, and cherish each other as they build a beautiful life together.
