You'll find plenty of hotels and Airbnb's in Athens. If you would like to find your own accommodations, here are a few neighborhoods we recommend: Plaka - Historic neighborhood in the city center that's great for first time visitors. This is our top recommendation for those new to Athens. It's filled with cobblestone streets where you'll find plenty of cafes, tavernas, and boutiques to explore. Psyri - One of our favorite neighborhoods in Athens! Psyri is close to Plaka and historic landmarks, but you'll find a little bit more of an authentic experience and can explore local shops, restaurants, and bars. Syntagma Square - The central square of Athens and is another great option for new travelers. It's located in front of the 19th century old Royal Palace, where the Greek Parliament is housed. Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport)

We recommend flying into Athens International Airport. You can also find great deals flying into other nearby cities and booking a separate connecting flight to Athens.
