We will be providing transportation to and from our wedding venue. Shuttle busses will pick up and drop off guests from Syntagma Square in Athens. Athens is a very walkable city so if plan on staying in the center of Athens the whole time, a rental car isn’t necessary. You can also take a cab or car service to the airport or the Piraeus Port (ferry port) if you plan to visit any islands. If you plan on traveling elsewhere on the mainland of Greece, renting a car is a great way to explore nearby towns.
Our wedding ceremony and reception is approximately 30-40mins from Athens. Because our welcome dinner is in the center of Athens and there is so much to explore in the city center, we’ve recommended hotels and neighborhoods for Airbnbs directly in Athens. As mentioned above we will be offering a shuttle bus leaving from Athens to take guests to and from the venue. However, if your prefer to stay closer to the wedding location the day of the wedding, we’ve listed a few local hotels that are along the Athens Riviera. If you do chose to do this, our venue and wedding planner will have local taxis available to take you home safely after the reception so no one has to worry about driving. There are so many beautiful islands in Greece - we've listed a few favorites but if you only have a day or two you can also explore some nearby islands or towns. Hydra is a beautiful smaller island that is just a 90 minute speed ferry from Athens Piraeus Port. You can fly to most of the large islands (Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, etc.) or take a ferry for a more scenic trip.
