Casual- this is a fun before the wedding event for anyone interested in coming.
Mehndi, commonly referred to as henna in the west, is a temporary skin stain that typically lasts a few days to a few weeks, depending on the area and care provided to the skin. For this event, guests are welcome to come mingle and have some mehndi applied to their hands.
3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Indian/Indo-Western attire suggested but not required. Please wear something colorful- red and gold are reserved for the bride and groom.
Once known to last ten days, the sangeet- translated to "sung together"- is a time to sing and dance for, and with, the bride and groom. Everyone is welcome to put together a dance or song to perform for the couple.
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Dinner served will be traditional Indian food- expect curry, chicken, naan, vegetarian dishes and the likes! We plan on making the food mild, but will have spices nearby if you'd like to bring up the heat.
3:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Cocktail Attire
Please bring a jacket as we don't know what the weather will be like! The ceremony will be held outside, but the following reception will be indoors with an exterior porch. Ceremony will roughly be 3 - 3:30. Wedding photos will be held immediately following until 5. Reception begins at 5, so please feel free to come mingle and snack from 3:30 until 5!
