At the Department of Public Safety. Delia had been a Student Security Officer with the University of Iowa for a couple of months and was a field training officer. The night began at 10:45PM, where Delia was assigned to train Rajat Tyagi. Delia didn't love training, especially the new people who tended to be shy and not talk. This, however, was not the case with Rajat, or Raj, as he introduced himself. The two of them shared many things in common including, but not limited to, Linkin Park, Star Wars, JonTron, engineering and more. The night flew by and the two didn't stop talking. Raj soon integrated into Delia's work friend group and they continued to talk and hang out more frequently, in and out of work. With a firm shove in the right direction by several coworkers, Raj finally asked Delia out on their first official date April 20th of 2017.

The last few years have been filled with so many highs and lows for the two. Innumerable memories have been created with friends and family. From vacations to Disneyland, joint birthday celebrations in October with both sides of the family, weddings attended, introducing anyone they can to hockey, and many more. Although the highs greatly outnumber the lows, the couple can't forget those who have been lost in the meantime: Delia's grandmother Margaret Wells, Raj's grandfather Ramesh Sathi, Delia's grandmother Helen Teichman and Delia's uncle David Wells.
