The Wedding Website of Delia May and Matt Deaner
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. The bridesmaids will be wearing a copper satin color, for reference. Ceremony and dinner will be on grass, so you may want to keep that in mind with your shoe choices.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle to pick up and drop off guests from The Renaissance Walnut Creek Hotel. Shuttle will arrive at 3:00PM, and we will have two waves of shuttles leaving from the venue, one at 9:00PM and one at 10:30PM. If you would prefer to drive, there is plenty of parking at the venue and they allow parking overnight (with parking passes provided). That said, please do not drink and drive. We highly encourage guests to take advantage of the shuttle, though Lyft/Ubers are accessible from the venue with relative ease.

Question

Will there be a welcome event?

Answer

Yes! Check the schedule tab for full details, but there will be welcome drinks on 9/27 at 7PM at Hops & Scotch.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoor or indoor?

Answer

The ceremony and dinner will be held outside, with dancing happening indoors. Weather pending, we may have heat lamps on the dinner lawn, but this is the Bay Area and if you run cold, we recommend bringing a light layer for the later evening. Currently the weather forecast is saying high of 82 and low of 56: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/vallejo/94590/weather-forecast/331982

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be starting at 4PM, so the shuttle will be dropping guests off by 3:30PM. If you are driving or taking a ride share, we please ask that you arrive around 3:30PM, as well.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have vegetarian options, but if you have other dietary restrictions, please make note of that when you RSVP! Our dinner is served family style, so it’s important we know if you need accommodation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this is an adults-only event, so please leave the kiddos at home for the evening and enjoy a night out with us!

Question

I've never been to Northern California before! What should I see while I'm in town?

Answer

There is no shortage of fun around here! We will be updating the Things to Do page with some suggestions, but for reference, the wedding venue is about 40 minutes from Napa and Sonoma, 45 minutes from San Francisco, and 40 minutes from where Matt and Delia live in Alameda (all traffic pending, of course).

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please see our registry section for our selections. We will be moving into our new home soon after the wedding, so that's why you see so many home items!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

ASAP, of course! 😊 We’re asking guests to kindly reply by August 10th.

Question

Will you be changing your last name?

Answer

Respectfully, no 😊 So please feel free to skip gifting us anything with “The Deaners” on it. Thanks!

For all the days along the way
