Nearly 10 years ago, Matt and Delia found themselves called to Austin after finishing undergrad, one for a new career, and one to finish their academic career. Upon moving to the city and knowing literally no one, Delia was lucky enough to secure an invite to a Halloween party from one of her new coworkers. Little did she know, she was about to meet the love of her life from across the beer pong table. The pair quickly bonded over their shared sense of humor and competition, and after a memorable night, Delia sent over the Facebook request to lock in their connection (oh, 2014, a simpler time). By 2017, the couple had done the right growing up separately, and decided to take a shot at the real thing. They ate, drank, and danced their way across Austin until Matt successfully acquired his PhD in 2019, got a job in the Bay Area, and decided to ask Delia to come with him. 5 years and 2 cats later, it's never felt more like home than when they're together.
