Philadelphia has plenty of things to do and see. Below are a few famous Philly attractions, as well as some of our favorite spots!
Liberty Bell
526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 965-2305
You're going to pass it when you walk to the venue from Hotel Monaco, but if you want to go in for a closer look...
Independence Hall
520 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 965-2305
You'll also pass it on your short walk to the venue, but if you'd like to take a longer tour. Another suggestion, go around 'back' to the actual front of Independence Hall, it's a great place for a stroll.
Reading Terminal Market
51 North 12th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107, (215) 922-2317
All of the best food places in Philadelphia represented in one. Don't ruin your appetite at Termini Brothers, they'll be at the wedding!
Philadelphia Museum of Art
2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130, (215) 763-8100
A quick uber ride (or ~30 minute walk if you want to see the sights in between), it's a great place to tour or snap some pictures on the steps. There are also beautiful gardens and water views if you walk around to the back side.
Square Pie
801 East Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19147, (215) 238-0615
Literally our favorite pizza spot. World's best pizza. I said it. (Probably a 20 minute walk from our hotel, or a quick uber ride. Unfortunately since COVID, they no longer have dine in options).
Philadelphia Distilling
25 East Allen Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123, (215) 671-0346
Great place for custom cocktails & the tasting room is beautiful. We highly recommend the tour! They make gin on site, but carry other liquors as well.
Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti
212 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 238-0499
Great place for brunch, it's right around the corner from the Hotel Monaco.
Fork
306 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 625-9425
Another great brunch spot within walking distance of the Hotel Monaco.
The Franklin Fountain
116 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 627-1899
A great place for ice cream. It's in Old City (near the hotel) and right next door to Shane Confectionary.
Shane Confectionery
110 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 922-1048
The oldest candy store in America. It's in Old City (near the hotel) and very close to The Franklin Fountain (ice cream). If it's a chilly day, try the hot chocolate!
Sampan
124 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107, (215) 732-3501
One of our favorite restaurants in Center City. Probably a 15 minute walk or very short uber ride from Hotel Monaco, and within walking distance of The Loews.
Moshulu
401 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106, (215) 923-2500
"Brunch on a boat". It's parked but a great spot for brunch. A 15-20 minute walk from Hotel Monaco, or a short car ride from Center City.
