No trip to Greece would be complete without a stop in her capital city. We recommend the Athens Gate Hotel, nestled right at the foot of the Acropolis or the Grand Bretagne, a historic luxury hotel in Syntagma Square. Hike up to the Parthenon and don't miss the new Acropolis Museum, one of Adriana's favorite buildings in the world. Take a stroll through Plaka to pick up souvenirs and enjoy the energy of the city.
If you're looking for a party atmosphere, look no further. Mykonos is famous for its beach clubs and there's something to do here 24/7. There's also a calmer side to the island and it's home to some of Adriana's favorite restaurants. Check out La Maison de Katrin for authentic Greek home cooking, and Katerina's Bar for great drinks. Get there early to snag a seat on the little balcony and watch the sun set over the port.
Famous for its sunsets over the caldera, you can't ask for a more romantic island than Santorini. Thera is a bit more lively whereas Oia is more slow-paced and ideal for relaxing and taking in the atmosphere.
Crete could easily warrant its own vacation. From the capital city of Chania to the luxury beach resorts of Elounda there is plenty to see and do on this southernmost Greek island. We recommend the port city of Rethymno and a day trip to Knossos, ancient home of the Minotaur!
