We both have a special place in our hearts for Italy, having spent summers there when we were younger and studying abroad. We think it's one of the most magnificent places on earth and want to share that with our loved ones.
As of now we are not planning on holding a separate celebration in New York.
The wellness and safety of our guests is the most important thing to us, so we'll be monitoring conditions up until the date. As of June 2022, all Covid-19 entry regulations have been dropped. This means that you no longer have to show proof of vaccination for entry or provide a Covid test.
Regrettably there are no direct flights from the US to Florence (details on the travel page). We encourage all of our guests to extend their time in Italy to take advantage of the 4th of July holiday, so with that in mind it will influence how to best get there. For travel ideas or tips reach out to Danielle who will be more than happy to make some itinerary suggestions!
Yep! Passports for adults are valid for 10 years, so if you haven't used yours recently we encourage you to check the expiration date! If you don't have one or yours is expired, you should allow for plenty of time to apply for one, especially with processing delays due to staffing shortages. You can learn more here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html.
For the most part, the weather is similar to New York so you can expect it to be around the 80s. Bear in mind that AC in Europe is not *quite* as efficient as it is in America. Avoid heavy materials in general, but especially for the wedding as it will be partially outdoors.
Yes! We want to maximize time with our guests, so plan on being in the Florence region from June 28 - 30, 2023 if you can. Check out the "Schedule of Events" tab for more details.
Check out the "Travel + Hotels" page for some great 5, 4 and 3-star options that we've personally stayed in or visited. There are no room blocks as we want to encourage everyone to do what works best for them!
Yes! Since this is an international destination wedding, the whole family is invited! We specifically picked the date with school + work schedules in mind to allow for our guests to extend their time in Europe.
Yes to both! We'll be offering buses from a central location in the Florence city center, but you may find it's more convenient to take a taxi door-to-door (heels and cobblestone don't mix very well). There will be parking available at the venue. The address is Via Imprunetana per Pozzolatico, 116, 50023 Impruneta FI, Italy.
