House Or Rental
There are typically plenty of houses and apartments of various sizes available. We would suggest looking in the Båstad town center, near Hotel Skansen and the tennis courts (the location of the Swedish Open!). Please feel free to reach out to Elizabeth or Daniel if you have any questions about location
Flight
The closest major international airport is Copenhagen, Denmark. Båstad is easily accessible from the airport by train. Should you decide to make a Scandinavian trip out of the wedding, Arlanda Airport in Stockholm is the second closest major airport
Train
The easiest airport to fly into is Copenhagen. The trains to Båstad run frequently from the airport terminal 3. Follow the train overhead signs past the terminal 3 arrival area to the red ticket station "DSB” (no need to buy tickets ahead of time). For the destination, choose Sweden, then “other destination” and type in “Båstad” and choose “Båstad bus station”. The trip takes around 90 minutes. We highly recommend that groups of ore than 1 adult purchase the family ticket for a better deal ($25 for 2 adults) Directions once on the train: Get off the train at the Båstad stop (after the Ängelholm stop and tunnel). We recommend taking the public buses into the town due to low taxi/rideshare availability and clean and convenient public transportation. The buses are big and yellow and free for train goers and wait outside the train station at each train arrival. Take the bus that is going to Båstad Torget and get off at Båstad Torget (next to the church, Mariakyrkan). From there it is a ~300m walk towards the water to Hotel Skansen, follow signs for Båstad Hamm (harbor) if you get lost!
