FAQs

The Wedding Website of Dan Faas and Cait Griffith
Question

I've never been to NYC before (or it's been a while since I've been back)! How do I get around?

Answer

Dan & Cait spent countless hours on the New York City subway, and while we have a complicated relationship with the MTA, we still think it's often the best way to get around NYC. We recommend firing up Google Maps on your phone -- it's pretty good about finding the best way around the city, taking note of any track closures or delays.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire! And if you want to bring some comfy shoes for the dance floor, we'll respect and admire that!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our registry is linked on our website (see, up at the top where it says "Registry"?) -- but by no means should you feel obligated to get us anything! Your presence at our celebration is the greatest gift!

Question

Do I need to select a meal preference?

Answer

Our wonderful venue will have a range of food options to please carnivores (Dan), vegetarians (Cait), and those with food allergies or aversions (Obie). So no pre-selection necessary!

Question

Is there parking at the venue if I'm driving?

Answer

There is street parking in front of Deity that is free after 7:00PM. There are five parking garages within three blocks of Deity. This link will show you all of the options you have for parking and the prices. From street parking directly in front of Deity, to free parking one block away, to all the parking garages in the area: https://www.spotangels.com/nyc-parking#parking-near=368-Atlantic-Avenue-Brooklyn-New-York-New-York-11217-United-States

Question

Can I bring my child(ren)/pet?

Answer

As much as we love children (we're both educators!) -- AND pets -- our venue capacity limitations have made it necessary for us to limit the guest list to only those listed on the invitations. We really appreciate your understanding, and we can't wait to share this special day with you!

Question

I'm making extending my trip a bit -- what cool things are there to do in NYC, or Brooklyn specifically?

Answer

We're delighted to hear this! We added some of our favorite NYC spots in the "Things to Do" section of our website, and you can find a map of our favorite spots here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1iqzv4JQR1I06LMovZn9DCEkT3_exato&usp=sharing
