From a cost & availability stand-point, the sooner the better. There are limited direct flights from Montreal. When booking flights, we recommend making sure that there are no change fees, should you want or need to change your flight. Same with hotels/airbnbs if possible.
We recommend staying on or near the beach. The most popular sandy stretches are centrally located (Gordon Beach, Frishman Beach, and Banana Beach) There are may nice hotels along the beach that we can recommend! As well, you can often find an AirBnB close to the beach. The Tayelet (paved boardwalk) that runs along the beach between central Tel Aviv and Jaffa is especially beautiful at night and is lined with plenty of cafés and restaurants. Great places to visit in Tel Aviv: • Carmel Market • Sarona Market • Rothschild Street • Park HaYarkon • Jaffa Old City • HaTachana Old Train Station Feel free to reach out if you want to run any ideas by us or get some more advice.
Daytime temperatures average around 24-26 Celsius. Evening temperatures are usually 16-19 Celsius.
Israel is 7 hours ahead of EST.
You don't necessarily need a car in Tel Aviv (Gett is the Uber equivalent and that's a great way to get around, and there are scooters like Lime/Bird to explore within the city too). If you're thinking of renting a car, here are some tips: https://en.shlomo.co.il/tip/78/Tips-and-Tricks-for-Renting-a-Car-in-Israel/
