Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Bethany Taylor and Zach Altman
You're in Utah!! Many of you have never been, unless you're into winter sports or love National Parks (spoiler alert, we love both). There are tons of fun things to do at Sundance! You may also consider tacking on a couple of days in Salt Lake City before or after the wedding. 🖤
Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding

Located in one of the most beautiful mountain ranges, the Sundance Stables are the perfect place to experience horseback riding at its finest. Enjoy breath-taking scenery as you traverse through pristine mountain terrain. Catch a view of the beautiful Stewart Falls, listen to the sounds of nature, and enjoy your cowboy guide as they lead you on a trail ride with your trusty mountain horse.

Hiking!

Hiking!

Hiking is one of our favorite things to do! The views on Northern Utah hikes are breathtaking. Sundance offers over 20 miles of alpine trails for the beginner to the expert hiker. Take a casual lift ride up the mountain and enjoy a scenic trail back to the base. Lift tickets are available for purchase!

Sundance ZipTour

Sundance ZipTour

The Sundance ZipTour is one of the most exciting and scenic zip tours in the world, boasting over 2,100 feet of vertical drop — the most of any zip line tour in the United States. Guests can ride side-by-side on the zip line’s double cables and control their speed, cruising up to 65 miles per hour, or stopping mid-air to take in the views.

Bike Riding

Bike Riding

Sundance has mountain bike trails accessible from the base or from the top! There are trails for advanced riders and a beautiful ride down the paved Scenic Provo River Trail. Bikes are available for day rentals. A lovely way to experience Sundance!

Swimming

Swimming

Sundance has new springs to swim and relax in with sweeping views of Mt. Timpanogos. Jump on in! (But actually gracefully saunter in because jumping is probably frowned upon). Freshly constructed in winter of 2024, The Springs includes three relaxation pools, an outdoor sauna, outdoor shower, and changing rooms easily accessible from all resort lodging.

Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City, UT

Salt Lake City is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains in the heart of Utah. There's a terrific art scene, a booming foodie scene with small-market prices, museums, the famous Temple Square, and a thriving nightlife. Spend some time before or after the wedding weekend in Salt Lake!

Zion National Park

Zion National Park

UT

Ok, this is four and a half hours away from the venue. BUT, if you wanted to extend your Utah stay, we cannot recommend this National Park enough! The red rocks are breathtaking and as far as National Parks go, Zion is very accessible with shuttles to the various trail heads and overlooks. A very family friendly adventure awaits!

Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park

UT

Bryce Canyon is a cozy 3.5 hour drive away from the venue. Extend your trip and visit one of the most unique National Parks (in our opinion)! See the hoodoos up close, take in the breathtaking views, and be sure to go back at night for total darkness star gazing (truly mind blowing).
