Best Man

Adeyemi is my brother from another mother, literally. We have been inseparable ever since our childhood days growing up in Ann Arbor, MI. When I’m not breaking his ankles on the basketball court, we are often traveling the world and living life to its fullest. We have been through the ups and downs of life (heavy on the 'ups') and have always seen each other through it all. This is why he’ll always be not just my best man, but my brother. Adeyemi currently works for the Justice Department and is an astute lawyer who has managed to earn a reputation as a young Trinidadian/Nigerian Johnny Cochran, go figure!

Andrea

Matron of Honor

Andrea, aka "Pooh," is the big sister I never had. Growing up as cousins, she has always been my confidant. I can depend on her to provide intellectual advice and encouragement for almost any situation. She always knows how to help me see the bright side of things. Through my ups and downs, she has always been there. When she is not working, you can find her traveling to one of her favorite places, Walt Disney World, with her loving family. Andrea is a Redemption Specialist and is one of the hardest-working women I know. There is no way I can say I do without you by my side!

Eghosa

Eghosa AKA 1738! (Remy Martin) has been one of my closet friends ever since we accidentally ran into each other at a liquor store while celebrating our birthdays. We took a shot along with the liquor store owner and have been instant close friends since. I credit our Nigerian intuition for allowing us to immediately connect and remain ever so present in each other’s lives. When Eghosa is not traveling the world sporting his custom made suit jackets (in bright neon yellow, his favorite color), he’s often spending quality time with family and close friends. Eghosa a very hard working business consultant in the industrial engineering field.

Jennifer

Bridesmaid

Jennifer and I grew up together as cousins, but I always considered her a sister. We have experienced so much together, creating memories to last a lifetime. Through these escapades, we have created a bond no one can break. We can go months without talking but pick back up where we left off whenever we get together. When Jennifer is not spending time with her children, you can find her working on a business project or choreographing. I anticipate Jennifer to be the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave it! Jennifer works as a Team Lead in logistics and is a successful business owner.

Tete

Groomsman

Tete is one of my closet friends and has been so for almost 2 decades. When we first met, we were both nervous wrecks awaiting our entry examinations into medical school. This traumatic experience must have made us close as we have remained close friends since. When tete is not excelling in long distance running or modeling for ZARA, he enjoys jamming to his electric guitar and is actually very good at it. Tete is currently finishing his last year as a chief resident and soon will be practicing medicine at your nearest hospital.

Destinee

Bridesmaid

Destinee, my little sister, and our future pediatrician! I can always count on her to be direct and honest with me. That is one of the things I love most about her. I enjoy watching her blossom into a beautiful, intelligent, responsible, and ambitious woman. Even though she is one of my youngest siblings, she is known to be quite wise for her age. When Destinee is not studying for the MCAT, she is soaking in the culture of Atlanta, networking with her mentors, or taking a road trip to seek a prospective medical program. I am incredibly proud of how far she has come and look forward to her bright future. Destinee is currently in her junior year at Spelman College.

Ebube

Ebube is my big little brother, he has earned this name not just due to his size and stature, but also because of his big personality. When he is not towering above everyone in the room, you can often find him debating and providing insight about the latest social justice matters, hip hop and afrobeat artists, and of course everything Detroit related. Also, he’s just usually the loudest person in the room. He effortlessly makes friends everywhere he goes, and I’m yet to meet anyone who has met Ebube and forgotten who he is, children and adults alike. Ebube is a hard working supply chain analyst and is often flying into remote parts of the country consulting with major fortune 500 companies.

Alexis is one of my sisters whom I have watched grow into a beautiful, ambitious, and intelligent woman. Considered a social butterfly, Alexis is known for the energy she brings into any room she walks into. With one of the most contagious laughs, it's hard not to love her. When she is not studying for a nursing exam, she parents my beautiful niece or travels somewhere beachside. I admire how much she has achieved and her drive to conquer her goals. Alexis is currently in her last year of nursing school.

Jevon has been a very good friend of mine since our high school football days. From roaming the halls of our high school as varsity jocks, or crashing at his home for the high school prom afterparty, to traveling across the world with my very own Spanish translator, Jevon has always been a amazing friend. Jevon is an avid traveler and is not afraid to traverse the world by himself only to come back with not just awesome experiences, but often new friendships. He is also fluent is Spanish which I’ve benefited from numerous times, he’s proficient on the keyboards, and one of Drake’s biggest fans. Jevon specializes in business management and operations.

Dominique, my dear little sister, is one of my best friends. I appreciate Dominique's ability to drop everything for her family regardless of where or what she is doing. She can also be described as an avid listener who seldom judges, no matter how awkward or atrocious the conversation. With every accomplishment I have obtained, she often cheered the loudest. Unfailingly a phone call away, she is easy to count on. Dominique works in healthcare as an Urgent Care Technician, preparing to start nursing school in the fall.
