The National WWII Museum, formerly known as The National D-Day Museum, is a military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. The museum focuses on the contribution made by the United States to Allied victory in World War II. It is truly a spectacular experience in EVERY way. If you are planning to put this on your list of things to do, make sure to put aside several hours as it is quite the site to see! This is a favorite of the family of the bride, who were yearly season ticket holders. The museum has expanded significantly over the past several years and now has its own brand new accompanying experience hotel - The Higgins Hotel. Themed accordingly to the 1940s, the Hotel tells a powerful story of a bygone era through artifacts, artwork, photography, and personal story plaques.
