If you love red wines this is the place for you! This is our favorite spot for wine in the Gorge with traditional Italian wines. We love sitting amongst the grapevines on a beautiful day for that extra relaxing ambiance with classical Italian music playing in the background.
There are two day use areas – North day use and South day use. $11 entrance fee for day use. This does fill up fast so get there earlier. The lake has a great trail that loops all the way around or rent rowboats, kayaks, paddle boards or pedal boats at the general store. One of the most iconic views of Mt. Hood
Looking for a relaxing environment? This place has great outdoor and indoor seating with an amazing view of Mt. Hood. Here you can enjoy their wine, beer, or cider. They also serve delicious seasonal pizza and salad.
A must stop for anything and everything orchard/farm related. From seasonal fresh fruits right from the orchards to their enormous selection of specialty canned goods, preserves, and fresh baked breads and pastries.
Enjoy excellent wines with a view. This place is rather busy on sunny days so make sure you call ahead.
This park has an area that is safe to swim in the river and a great walking tail along the river. If you walk this on a windy day you should see a great show from wind/kit surfers. This area also has great options for drinks and food. Just know summer time is busy so waits could be long.
A Hood River staple. Enjoy a good selection of craft beers, ciders, and excellent pizzas.
You don't want to skip a Oregon must, Multnomah Falls! The falls is most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest. We suggest taking old highway and going through the waterfall corridor. Where you may have the chance to find parking and enjoy some short hikes to these waterfalls: Latourell Falls or Horsetail Falls and Ponytail Falls. Either way if you are planning to see Multnomah Falls you will need a Timed Use Permit. The above link will take you straight to these permits.
