Yes! We can't wait to be married, so we will be taking all necessary precautions to celebrate safely in March. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is still limiting the number of guests we can have at our ceremony and reception, so we are not able to include the full list of guests we had originally planned to invite and will be hosting a smaller celebration. We appreciate your understanding. Live-stream link: https://www.youtube.com/newmancommunity
We are limiting our guest list to adhere with local guidelines for gatherings, and we have moved our reception outdoors to the Front Lawn of The Carolina Inn. Guests will be required to bring and wear a mask or face covering during the church ceremony and when "in motion" during the reception - it can be removed once seated at a table, or to eat or drink. Tables will be spaced to allow for social distancing, and we will group families together so everyone feels safe. Hand sanitizer will be provided for guests to use throughout the evening.
We completely understand! Our wedding ceremony will be live-streamed by the church at 2:00 PM on March 13. Please visit the UNC Newman Center YouTube page to view the stream: https://www.youtube.com/newmancommunity. The church will begin streaming closer to 1:55 PM.
We're having a traditional Catholic ceremony and we know the earlier start time might not be ideal. We'll be taking pictures with family and the wedding party during this time, but if you're looking to explore there's plenty nearby! Take a stroll on Franklin Street or through UNC's campus! There's plenty of shopping nearby, and you can find our favorite restaurants and watering holes under the "Our Favorites" tab.
