Maid of Honor
My BFF! I've known her since 2006, freshman year of high school. We just kind of clicked and quickly became best friends. I'm not joking about that best friend title either. We hung out every day, and I spent the night at her house almost every weekend. You would think her parents would've gotten tired of me being there, but thankfully they were really cool about it. Now they're a second family to me. We eventually went to separate colleges in separate states and that was really hard. We had some ups and downs, but we made it through and came out on the other side even stronger! She's funny, loyal, protective, and is basically an old woman in an (almost) 26-year-old's body. She knows what I'm talking about. I'm so happy she'll be standing beside me so soon!
Best Man
Richard is my older brother, though most people call him Richie. He is also my roommate until April 13. One of Richard’s favorite things is writing bios for his employees where he either exaggerates or just blatantly lies about their skills or abilities, however, this bio of him is completely true. He holds the world record for eating a Take 5 candy bar the fastest. He juggles overhand. At one point in his life, he could dunk a basketball, as long as it was a child's ball and the basket was only 8 feet tall. He is a master at trimming his fingernails but is merely at a semi-pro level when it comes to his toenails. He’s one of the smartest and kindest persons you will ever meet, and I’m honored to have him standing by my side. I couldn’t pick a better brother.
Bridesmaid
Emily is by far my oldest friend (and I'm not talking about age, although that is a running joke we like to make). I've known Emily since we were five. We went to the same elementary and middle school, as well as high school. We made our split in college, but of course, we kept up with each other! Also, no joke, she totally hated my guts in 1st grade because I was the cause of her first-ever "check mark", and she thought because of that her parents were going to send her to another school. We've obviously come a long way since then, and we love to laugh about it now, but I secretly think she still resents me for it... Just kidding, she loves me. Emily is a great confidant. We've had many great talks over lunch about life. I can't wait for her to be there on the wedding day!
Best Man
Rudy is my oldest brother. He has also been my boss for the last two years. I spent most of my life as "Rudy’s brother." Well on April 13, the tide changes my friend. On April 13, YOU are MY brother. Most people know Rudy as the cool, curly-headed singer who somehow pulls off leather pants. However, I know him as a coffee-microwaving, NurtiGrain bar toasting, zip-tying, labeling Magee who, at the end of the day, just wants an Old Fashioned and to love his wife. Rudy is the fulcrum of the atmosphere of the room, and what I mean by that, is that he’s always after the heart of the people around him. I couldn’t pick a better brother.
Bridesmaid
Alex is my cousin; my first ever cousin to be exact (on my mom's side). Before her, it was just my brother and me as the only grandchildren around. When we were much younger, she and her family lived in Charlotte. I remember as a child always wishing they lived much closer, and then it finally happened! The day they moved to Dallas was such an exciting one! I have lots of great memories of us playing together at our Grandma's house and having sleepovers. Years ago, after the family decided to grab some food, she once whined, "But I don't like Egyptian food!", after a long and hot day touring the Chichen Itza pyramid ruins... in Mexico. It's one of my favorite memories. Alex is funny, smart, and one of the hardest-working people I know. I'm so excited to have her with me on my wedding day!
Groomsman/Officiant
I grew up with Blake as my best friend, ever since that night Kevin decided to ditch us. In addition to being a groomsman, he will also be the officiant on April 13. Blake and I sort of have our own language we speak, which is made up of countless memories combined with relevant, yet obscure, movie quotes. Sometimes when he’s sleeping, he holds conversations happening in his dream at full volume. That, or he was just messing with me. He’s my only groomsman who has successfully choked me out and the only groomsman who is a dad. He is a man of God, and I can pick no one better to officiate my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Katie is also my cousin! She's Alex's younger sister. I, of course, also have many great memories of us playing together as kids at our grandma's house. Katie and I share a penchant for all things cute and weirdly adorable. Things that would be called 'kawaii'. Things like pillows in the shape of a loaf of bread with a smiley face on each end (seriously, Google it). There's no telling where this came from. We also both share a love for Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki movies. Katie's personality is one of my favorites. She loves to get dressed up but is also down to be in the dirt. She is one of the most genuine people I know. I can't wait for her to be standing with me on the wedding day!
Groomsman
Josh and I met in college our freshman year and, at first, I hated him. He was loud, kinda weird, and he seemed like that kid who was homeschooled just a little too long. Fast forward eight years, and while he’s still all of those things, he’s one of my favorite people in the world. I had an allergic reaction at his wedding, so I’ve decided to hold my wedding at the arboretum in hopes that he has an allergic reaction at mine. Everyday, he strives to go to bed a better man than he woke up, and most days he succeeds. When you live with someone like that for four years, that's a really good thing, and I’m honored and humbled that he will be standing with me.
Bridesmaid
Alec and I went to Belmont together! We met in 2010 during our freshman year, but our true friendship didn't start until sophomore year. After that, we were pretty much a package deal. We went everywhere and did everything together. We eventually became roommates, but then I had to leave her for a semester when I went to LA. It worked out though because she's from California so, of course, she visited and we spent Spring Break in San Francisco! We both stayed in Nashville after graduating, becoming roommates again and exploring life post-college. We basically learned how to be adults together, and I'm so glad it was with her! I would describe Alec as a fighter; she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. I admire that about her. I'm so excited she'll be with me on the big day!
Groomsman
Dennis is the unofficial fourth Brannon brother. He is also a coworker whenever he decides to wake up. He and his awesome wife Nicole are the kind of people you want living within walking distance (hey, you live that close). From letting me borrow their truck to using their boat for my proposal to making some truly amazing home cooked meals, the Fraziers are just good people. For Dennis, everything deserves a celebration. The game is on? Come over and have food and drinks! The power is out? Come over and play games with us! It’s a Thursday night? Hang out at our house! He’s always the first to celebrate other people, too. He is quick to recognize the best qualities in a person, amplify it, and shine light on them. I am so thankful for him and honored that he is standing with me.
Bridesmaid
I haven't known Annie nearly as long as my other bridesmaids, but she has become a great friend (and soon-to-be sister) in the short time I have known her. I met her about 4 years ago at a surprise birthday party she threw for Rudy when they were still dating (they're married now, yay!). I met a lot of people that night, but I knew Annie was someone I needed to get to know. Somehow, I knew even then that we'd both be where we are right now. Annie is a great listener. If you ever need someone to just talk to, Annie is your person. She's also one of the most talented writers I've ever met. I'm pretty sure she'll probably be a famous author one day. I can't wait for her to be with me on the wedding day!
Cat/Unofficial Flower Cat
Ponyo isn’t technically in the wedding party. We just had extra space on the website to feature one more person. Unfortunately, she cannot make April 13 due to prior commitments of being a cat who lives 800 miles away. I promise that you have never seen an animal, much less a cat, that has the capacity to love one single person more than how much Ponyo adores Christy. She is our little, fat, green-eyed purr baby.
