We technically met twice. The first time was at the beginning of freshman year through a large group of friends who normally got together in the lobby of our dorm or the one nearby. From first impressions, I remember thinking Beau was really funny, and that he was pretty cute, but really nothing beyond that. We saw each other a few times throughout our first semester of freshman year whenever we happened to hang out with these people, but a real friendship never really formed. Fast forward about 3.5 years to meeting number two, and we both just happened to attend the same study-away program in LA for our last semester of college. During those previous 3.5 years, I can confidently say I saw Beau a total of zero times. Honestly, I had completely forgotten he even existed. But on the first night that we were all in LA, standing on the Santa Monica Pier, we talked and reconnected. One of Beau's roommates later mentioned to Beau that he sensed some chemistry there. As the semester in LA progressed, so did our friendship. By the end of it, we were hanging out with each other almost every day, and the rest is history.
