Shuttle

To the Wedding...

There are 3 ways to get from the Muir Beach Parking Lot to the ceremony at Little Muir Beach. 1- Take a shuttle. The shuttle has only a 14-person capacity so there may be a wait. 2- On the beach-- Walk out to Muir Beach from the lot and head north in the sand, past the large rocks, until you reach the beach's end. That is Little Muir Beach. It's no more than a half mile walk. If you don't know which way is north, keep in mind that the Pacific Ocean is west. 3- On a paved road-- Walk back to the road that you drove in on and turn left up the road overlooking the parking lot. That is Pacific Way. Follow it until you see a large set of stairs on your right. Take the stairs up to Sunset Way & go left. Keep on Sunset Way (heading towards the ocean) until around 280 Sunset Way, where there is a left turn down Cove Lane. Follow Cove Lane until its end at the beach. This is Little Beach. This walk is entirely paved until you reach the beach. It's about .6 miles and a 12 minute walk.

To the Reception

You can walk or take a shuttle from the ceremony on Little Beach to the reception at the Muir Beach Community Center. The walk includes a long set of stairs, but is not too overly difficult for most. If you have doubts, take the shuttle. We recommend walking for those who are able. To walk-- Walk up Cove Lane from the beach and make a right onto Sunset Way. Walk 0.3 mi until you reach 80 Sunset Way where you will see the stairs on your left leading up directly to the Community Center.

Upon Leaving...

Upon leaving the reception, you can walk or take a shuttle to the Muir Beach Parking Lot. To walk, head down the set of stairs by the playground. There will be a landing at Sunset Way. Keep heading down a second set of stairs to Pacific Way. Go left, and then stay on Pacific Way until you see the Muir Beach Parking Lot entrance on your right. It's about a 10 min walk and all downhill. If you parked along Ahab Dr., leave the Community Center by the main entrance and head left along Seacape Drive. You will see Ahab Drive on your left. It's a 2 min walk.
