There is something to be said about perfect timing. Chris and Lea probably met before 2015. In fact, their entire lives have led to this moment. Let’s start at birth. Chris was born at San Dimas Community Hospital, February 22, 1979, where a young Labor and Delivery nurse was working. There is a great chance that Mary Ellen Szabo delivered Chris! Both the Anderson Families and the Convertino Families spent every Summer vacationing on the same strip of private beach in San Juan Capistrano. The couple can pinpoint a few of the houses their families rented that were literally within stone’s throw of each other. Though Chris grew up in Provo, the couple soon realized that Lea went to high school with his Cousins, at Glendora High. In their early 20’s, Chris and Lea both lived in Huntington Beach, where their social scene had to have intersected. They went to all the same places, and lived within blocks of each other. It wasn’t until Lea lived in Newport Beach, and her personal trainer suggested that she begin CrossFit at a gym he started coaching at in Huntington Beach, that the two FINALLY met, in 2015. Chris joined the gym while Lea was gone, racing in Hawaii. On Halloween, 2015, WonderWoman (Lea’s nickname) finally found her Superman (Chris’ costume), literally. It has been a love story, 43 years in the making. The couple just had to be ready to meet their person at the right time.
