Abby and I met as friends in 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. We quickly became good friends and our Atlanta friend group would do everything together. From poker nights, to hiking trips, to late night dancing we always had a great time. After 3 years of friendship Abby decided to kiss me one night. Realizing she may like me as more than just a friend, I suggested we go on a date. On March 8th, 2022 we went on our first date. Three weeks later on March 24th I asked Abby to be my girlfriend. Then almost 2 years later on February 3rd, 2024 I asked her to marry me!
Moving to Atlanta in fall of 2019 I was nervous. But I quickly met a group of friends and there was one boy that I kept finding myself trying to sit by or share an Uber with or talk to about sports. Once COVID hit, Chris became one of the few people I saw consistently and my crush grew. Between hikes, a trip to Blue Ridge, and weekly dinners, I got to know Chris on a deeper level. It took a couple years, but finally with some pushing from some friends and some liquid courage, I kissed Chris before a night of dancing. From that second, it was over for me. A few weeks later, Chris asked me to be his girlfriend. And a few months later I told him that I loved him. Then I patiently waited to see how our relationship would progress. Between family holidays, Chris admitting he loves Iris (our fur baby), and moving in together, the next step seemed logical. As usual, I might have been ready before Chris, but when he asked me to marry him on February 3rd 2024, it was perfect and I think I said yes before his knee hit the ground.
