Travel Note
Oaxaca International Airport (IATA: OAX) is the Oaxaca City airport to fly into for the wedding. There are direct flights to Oaxaca City from Los Angeles (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), San Diego, Houston, and Dallas. Alternatively, most flight options will fly through Mexico City, as there are many connecting flights from Mexico City to Oaxaca City. There is an inexpensive (less than $10) public bus/shuttle service at the airport that takes credit cards and can take you directly to your hotel (have the address on-hand if you are staying at a small hotel/AirBnB). When you get through customs, but before exiting the airport, look for the big blue "TAXI" sign at one of the counters. There you can book a seat in one of the shuttles that will take you to your hotel, or if you have a group, you'll get the entire shuttle.

https://ayookoaxaca.com/ Great hotel with rooms surrounding a gorgeous courtyard. It's in a quiet pocket of town but still very central, and it's close to one of the best restaurants in Oaxaca called Criollo. The rooms are casual and minimalist but a really good value.
